Koramangala was never designed for moving trucks. The blocks were laid out for houses and small apartment buildings, then filled up with startups, PGs, cafés and a lot more cars than the lanes can hold. Large parts of 1st, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th Block are one-way, and several of the residential lanes off them are barely wide enough for a car and a parked scooter. A full-size truck often cannot reach the building at all. The answer is not to force it — it is to bring the right vehicle. Buildings without lifts

Koramangala has a great many three- and four-storey structures built before lifts were standard. Carrying a double-bed frame down two flights of a narrow staircase is skilled work, and it is priced as labour, not as an afterthought. If your building has no lift, say so when you call — it changes the crew size, not just the tone of the conversation.

Parking on the main roads

Stopping a tempo on 80 Feet Road or outside the Forum stretch during business hours invites trouble. We schedule around it, usually early morning, and we keep a crew member with the vehicle throughout.

Who we move here

Koramangala throws up three very different jobs, and they need three different approaches.

Young professionals and students

Single rooms, PG shifts, a 1BHK going to another 1BHK two blocks away. Small loads, tight budgets, usually a weekend. These are quick jobs, but “small” does not mean careless — a laptop, a monitor and a guitar are often the most valuable things in the load.

Families in older houses and apartments

Bigger volumes, more furniture that has not been moved in a decade, and frequently a shift out to Sarjapur Road, HSR Layout or Bellandur in search of space.

Startups and small offices

Koramangala has more of these per square kilometre than almost anywhere in India. An office shift here means workstations, chairs, monitors, a server or network cabinet, and a hard deadline — the team is back at work on Monday whatever happens. We do these over weekends and overnight, with equipment packed by type and labelled by desk so the setup at the other end is not a treasure hunt.

What a booking looks like

You call or message. We look at the goods — a home visit, or a video walkthrough if you are travelling. You get a written, itemised quote with the vehicle type and crew size named on it. On the day, the team arrives with cartons, bubble wrap, stretch film, corrugated sheets and blankets already loaded, packs room by room against an inventory, dismantles what needs dismantling, loads, moves, and reassembles at the destination. Cartons go into the rooms you point at. The packing waste leaves with us.

Why quotes differ

The honest answer is that a quote reflects effort, not just kilometres. What moves it:

• How many items, and how much of it is fragile
• Floor number, and whether there is a working lift at either end
• How close a vehicle can physically get to the door
• Distance, and whether it is local, intercity or international
• Storage, if there is a gap between your two dates
• Transit insurance, if you want the cover

A 1BHK on the ground floor with a lane the tempo can enter is a straightforward morning. The same 1BHK on a third-floor walk-up, 80 metres from where the vehicle can stop, is a different job — and any mover who quotes both the same has not looked properly.

Getting the timing right

Month-end is the peak, because most Bengaluru leases turn over then. The last three days of the month and the first two of the next are the hardest slots to get, and the most expensive across the industry. If your dates are flexible, a mid-month weekday is cheaper, calmer and faster. If they are not, book early — a fortnight ahead for a month-end Saturday is sensible.

Can you do a same-day or next-day move?

Often yes for a small local shift, depending on crew availability. Larger homes need at least a day’s lead for materials and manpower.

My lane is too narrow for a truck. Is that a problem?

No. We will quote a smaller vehicle, or a shuttle, once we have seen the approach.

Do you move single items — one fridge, one sofa?

Yes. Single-item and part-load moves are common here.
